Long Island Man, 56, Accused Of Stalking 14-Year-Old, Police Say

A Long Island man has been accused of stalking a teenage girl.

The man, George Letellier, 56, of Huntington Station, followed the 14-year-old in his gray Jeep Wrangler and engaged her in inappropriate conversation on numerous occasions between Oct. 16 and Nov. 7, Suffolk County Police said.

On one occasion the man invaded her personal space and prevented her from moving away from him, according to police. On a fourth occasion, the girl was able to get the man’s license plate.

Following an investigation by Second Precinct Crime Section officers, Letellier was arrested.

Letellier was charged on Thursday, Nov. 14with fourth-degree stalking and endangering the welfare of a child. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday, Nov. 15.
